Incredible burgundy ringware ceramic bowl by AJ Bauer Pottery. Made in Los Angeles c. late 1930-1950s. Get it while you can, Bauer pieces in this size and glaze don't come around too often! Very good condition. One very small nick in the glaze on the rim. the base of the bowl. Please feel free to email any and all questions prior to purchase!

A.J Bauer Pottery was founded in 1885 Kentucky but is for all intents and purposes a Los Angeles pottery. Bauer pottery operated in Lincoln Heights Los Angeles from 1907 until the company closed in 1962. Bauer is perhaps the most popular and collected of the early to mid 20th century California potteries and it is no surprise why. Bauer pottery pieces are unmistakable. From their early 20th century utilitarian planters and jugs to their vibrant mid century dinnerware every piece boasts both exceptional form and function.

Shipping
Calico is happy to offer shipping worldwide! Orders are processed within 2-3 business days from the date the order was placed. Transit times are estimated by carriers and may vary.
Calico is not responsible for lost, delayed or stolen packages. If an order is damaged in transit please take pictures of the package before opening. All issues, including damaged, lost, or stolen packages must be reported within 48 hours of arrival. Calico will do our best to help remedy the situation with you and the carrier. All packages will be insured through the carrier.
Local Delivery
Local delivery is available for customers in the Los Angeles area as well as select areas of California upon approval. Local deliveries must scheduled and delivery times may vary. Please reach out with any questions about our local deliveries! We will always try our best to make a local delivery work.
Returns
Calico is glad to offer store credit for returns. If you wish to return an item please reach out to hello@calicocalifornia.com. All returns must be approved before any action is taken. We will issue a return label for approved returns. Please note both the original shipping cost and return shipping are not refundable. Returns must be received within 14 days of delivery.
Customers are responsible for the safe return of all items. Items must be received back in their original condition to be eligible for store credit. Store credit never expires.
If you received your item via local delivery please reach out to hello@calicocalifornia.com to schedule a pick up. Customers will be charged a handling fee in this case.

Below is a general object condition scale:
Pristine: Never used and/or in original packaging. No visual defects and in working order. May show age in some cases.
Excellent: Minimal to no visual defects. Structurally sound and in working order when applicable. Maybe show slight signs of age.
Good: Visual wear and/or defects but aesthetically whole.
Fair: Considerable wear and/or damage throughout. Significant damage/wear in one or more areas that compromises the piece.
God Awful: Don't worry, you won't find anything like that here.
